Notability app price5/28/2023 ![]() ![]() I find that the program sometimes fails to see the difference between a hand-drawn curved arrow and a straight line. Making special shapes with the pen feature, such as curved lines and arrows, can be tricky. I found that the app defaults to a blank page for its template, and it took me a few days to figure out how to change this.ģ) The special shapes are tricky. The app only runs on subscription options, which can be annoying if one stops using it for a long period of time, so say the summer break from school.Ģ) Templates are slightly complex at first. Negative: 1) Notability is a subscription service. I find that for the effectiveness and ease pf the app, this price could be higher. The app has two subscription options of $2.99 monthly or $11.99 annually. I love being able to make a file for each semester of school and then have individual class folders within.Ħ) The app has good pricing. The app also allows me to be highly organized. I have hearing loss, so the audio recordings that are synchronized with the notes I take in class was the selling point to me - this feature does not disappoint.ĥ) It has efficient organization. Notability is now free to download, and will require a 15 per year. I find that the app is good at exporting my notes over to places such as Google Drive, where I can then share them with my classmates.Ĥ) Amazing audio-annotation feature. But after 11 years of selling the app for an up-front pricemost recently 9developer Ginger Labs is leaving that model behind. It also has the tools one needs to annotate (pen, highlighter) but isn't bogged down by too many options.ģ) I find it exports well. The different pen sizes allows me to highlight just enough text or write supper small or super large.Ģ) The app is great for annotating. Positive: 1) The app has many size options. Overall, my cons list is mainly just nitpicks, and I would recommend to anyone to try it out (which you can do for free). I think that as a whole the app runs very smoothly and is supper user friendly. I settled here because I really liked the feature to record audio then playing it back by tapping on any markings (pen or text).
